Apple Pie

  • 4 cups apples (peeled and sliced)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • For the glaze: extra butter
  1. Peel and slice the apples thinly. Next, soak the apples in the melted butter. Combine the flour, sugar and spices in a bowl. Meanwhile, remove the apples from the melted butter and coat them with the flour mixture. Place the coated apples along with any excess flour mixture in the pie shell. Spread a layer of butter on the top for a nice glaze. Bake at 400 deg. F for about 45 minutes or till the apples are cooked.
