Apple Pudding
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 25
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 3 medium apples, diced but not peeled
- 1 c. flour
- 1 t. soda
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. nutmeg
- 1/8 t. salt
- Stir in 1/4 c. nuts and
- 1/2 c. chopped dates
DIRECTIONS
- Mix all, then add sifted together sugar, shortening, egg and apples
- Then add remaining ingredients
- Bake in greased pan (I used 11 x 7-inch Pyrex) at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. (Test for doneness, but do not over bake as this is a moist cake.)
- Serve with sauce.
