Aunt Judy's Ham Loaf with help from the Amish
INGREDIENTS

- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 lb. ground ham
- 3/4 Cup milk
- 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbls. instant tapioca
- 1/2 tsp prepared horseradish
- 3-4 drops red food color (optional)
- Sauce: 1/2 Cup ketchup
- 2 Tbls. packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbls. worcestershire sauce
DIRECTIONS
- In large bowl, mix together pork, ham, milk, crumbs, egg, tapioca, horseradish and food coloring; if desired, until well blended.
- Place mixture in loaf pan and bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour.
- In small bowl, stir together sauce ingredients. Pour sauce over ham loaf and bake for another 30 minutes basting occasionally with sauce.
- Remove from oven; let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan. Slice to serve.
- Keep in mind, their foods were cooked without electricity. Just imagine. Enjoy !!!
