Aunt Linda's Brownies

INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 20 minutes at 350 degrees
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. sour milk (to sour milk add about 1 tsp vinegar to milk)
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 5 T. cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • FROSTING
  • 4 T. butter
  • 4 T. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1.) In a small saucepan heat the margarine, water, and oil. Bring to a boil.
  2. 2.) Combine flour, sugar, and cocoa and add to boiled mixture.
  3. 3.) Add the sour milk.
  4. 4.) Mix in the eggs and baking soda.
  5. 5.) Mix all ingredients for 2 minutes.
  6. 6.) Pour in jelly roll pan that has been greased and floured.
  7. 7.) Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
  8. 8.) For frosting, boil butter, milk, and sugar for 1 minute. Add chocolate chips. Stir and spread on cooled brownies.
