BAKED RICE

INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 60-90
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 cans of mushroom pieces, including the juice
  • 3 cans consumme (or broth)
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 cup uncooked rice (not Minute Rice)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Saute onions in butter.
  2. Mix with the remaining ingredients and put in a casserole dish.
  3. Bake covered at 350F for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until juices are absorbed.

RECIPE BACKSTORY
This is eary to prepare and cooks in the oven while you are busy with other meal prep. Tasty too. I prefer rice done in the oven. To me it seems moister.
