Baked Crescent Apple Dumplings

- Servings: 4
- 4 small apples, peeled & cored
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) butter, softened
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) each cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cloves
- 4 tsp (20 mL) jelly or jam
- 1 can (235 g) Pillsbury* Crescents
DIRECTIONS
- Heat oven to 375F (190C).
- Combine butter, brown sugar and spices until creamy.
- Separate dough into 4 rectangles; seal perforations.
- Place apple in center of each rectangle, fill centre of apple with jelly.
- Spoon 1/4 of spice mixture on top of each apple. Pull 4 corners of dough to top of apple, twist slightly and seal edges.
- Ease dough around apples to cover completely and evenly.
- Place on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until deep golden brown.
