Baked Prosciutto and Brie Crostini
  • Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes
  • Servings: 16
  • Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes
  • 1 loaf French Bread
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup apple butter
  • 16 thin slices prosciutto
  • 2 pears, medium ripeness, thinly sliced
  • 1 small wheel Brie cheese, thinly sliced
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Cut 16 slices from French bread on the diagonal, about 1/2" thick. Lightly brush with olive oil on both sides and place on foil-lined baking sheet. Toast in oven about 4-5 minutes, flipping the slices about half-way through.
  2. Spread 1 tbsp apple butter onto each slice. Place 1 slice prosciutto, then 2-3 slices of pear on each slice. Top with 2 pieces of Brie cheese. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake approximately 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve.
I have served this often with friends or special company and they disappear quickly. Submitted by: "Wendy Schmitt"
