Banana Split Bread

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine -- room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup ripe bananas (about 2 large) -- mashed
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
  • 1/2 cup pecans -- chopped
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In mixing blow, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg.
  3. In small bowl, combine bananas and milk. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with banana mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
  4. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 60-70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.
