Banana Split Pie

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (reserve ¼ cup)
  • 1 small package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • Prebaked piecrust
  • 1 (1-ounce) square sweetened chocolate
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk, if needed for thinning
  • 1 or 2 bananas, sliced
  • ½ cup walnut or pecan pieces
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. Combine condensed milk (less ¼ cup), pudding mix, milk, and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
  2. 2. Whip the cream and fold it into the pudding mixture then put into the baked pie shell.
  3. 3. Combine the reserved ¼ cup condensed milk and 1 chocolate square in a saucepan; melt, stirring until smooth. If needed, add 1 to 2 tablespoons milk to thin the mixture.
  4. Note: You may want more chocolate on top. If so, add 1 more chocolate square and a little more milk.
  5. 3. Slice 1 or 2 bananas over the filling, drizzle chocolate over bananas, and then sprinkle nuts on top.
