Bananas and Ice Cream with Caramelly Sauce
  • 2 bananas, peeled and cut in half lengthwise
  • 3 T butter, divided
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream (really need this here, I tried half and half and it didn't come out right)
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  1. Ice cream - vanilla or something with nuts like Butter Pecan
  2. Put 1 T butter into a skillet over med-high heat. Melt butter and wait till foam subsides. Put bananas in skillet, cut side down and saute about 1 minute or until golden, then flip. When golden on both sides, remove and place into bowls.
  3. Put remaining 2 T butter into skillet, melt, then add brown sugar, cream, and cinnamon. Stir and simmer till a nice thick consistency, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Top bananas in bowl with ice cream. Pour sauce over. Try not to wolf it down in less than a minute like I do. :P
