Beef Bowl

  • 1 lb. Farm-Raised All Natural Ground Beef
  • 2 Cups Instant White Rice (I like convenience & you can use any type of rice)
  • 1 Pack of Shredded Brussel Sprouts (H-E-B has great packaged veggies)
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or Coconut Oil (either option is fine)
  • Salt & Pepper (or your favorite season on beef)
  • 'Dat Green Stuff (must have, no other options available)
  1. If you're using instant rice, cook according to the instructions and set aside. We love to use chicken stock instead of water. It adds a little more flavor to the rice. Salt and pepper to your liking once the rice is ready.
  2. Sauté onions in 1 tablespoon of butter or any fat of your choice until almost brown. Add ground beef to the onions and cook until done. Set aside. Remember to season to your liking. We love using fajita seasoning on beef, but salt and pepper are totally fine.
  3. Sauté the shredded brussel sprouts in a tablespoon of butter or fat of your choice until they are tender and heated through. Combine beef with brussels and mix well.
  4. Scoop 1/2 cup of rice onto the center of your bowl, then add your beef/brussel mix around the rice (that's fancy presentation skills right there!).
  5. Finally! Top a tablespoon (or as much as you like) of 'Dat Green Stuff directly on top of the rice. I like to mix the salsa into the rice, it's so damn delicious! Enjoy.
There's nothing complicated about this meal. It's a very simple and clean recipe. The green salsa gives it just enough kick to make your tastebuds dance. You're also getting a perfect combination of protein, carbs & fat all in one dish.
