Beef Skewers

  • Marinade:
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¾ cup pineapple juice
  • ½ of a 12 oz can of Sprite
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb thinly sliced (about ¼ inch thick) beef top round steak, cut into 1 inch width strips
  1. Mix the marinade in a large Ziploc bag. Put the beef into the bag, seal with as little air as possible, and squish around to coat well. Let marinate overnight. Do not marinate for more than 24 hours. The Sprite and pineapple juice will break down the meat too much if you do. Thread the strips in zigzags on long skewers. Grill over medium heat for about 15 minutes, turning at least once to get even browning.
