Beef and Artichoke Bake
  • 1 pkg. (9 oz.) frozen
  • artichoke hearts
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 lb. round steak, cut in
  • 1-inch cubes
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1/2 c. red wine (cooking wine
  • can also be used)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • chopped fresh parsley
  1. Cook frozen artichoke hearts according to package
  2. directions. Rinse, drain, cut in quarters and set aside. In a medium skillet melt butter. Add garlic and meat. When meat is browned, add the onion and saute until onion is tender. Place
  3. meat, garlic and onion into a casserole dish. Add wine, tomato sauce and artichoke hearts to casserole dish. Stir until ingredients are blended. Bake, uncovered, in a 325 degrees oven for 35 minutes or until meat is tender. When done, garnish with the fresh parsley.
