Beef and Broccoli

  • 2 lbs. Round Steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. corn starch
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 bunches fresh broccoli
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cut round steak into 2-3 inch long strips
  2. Place in bowl and add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, wine, and cornstarch
  3. Mix and let stand in refrigerator for 30-40 min
  4. In a fry pan heat 1 tbsp oil then add broccoli and ginger
  5. Over Medium heat cook broccoli and ginger till crisp tender
  6. Remove from heat and place on serving plate
  7. Drain meat preserving liquid
  8. heat fry pan with another tbsp oil
  9. On high sear meat until almost done
  10. add reserved liquid and stir
  11. Add broccoli and stir
  12. Remove from heat and serve over rice
