Beer Bread

  • Cooking Time: 50

  • 1 can of beer
  • As many grams of flour as there are ml in the can of beer (330g or 440g usually)
  • Add 1/10th of that amount of sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • herbs/garlic/whatever you like to taste
  • Butter to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Pre-heat oven to 190C
  2. Mix the flour, the sugar and the herbs/garlic/whatever.
  3. Pour in the beer and a bit of melted butter and mix thoroughly.
  4. Place the batter into a greased loaf tin and top with a bit more melted butter (it will look gross at this point but trust the process)
  5. Bake it for 50 minutes or so (if you have a skewer it should come out almost clean, with a crumb or two), remove with oven gloves and tip it out of the tin and leave to cool.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
