Beer Bread
  • Cooking Time: 50
  • Servings: 8-10
  • Preparation Time: 5
  • 1 can of beer
  • As many grams of flour as there are ml in the can of beer (330g or 440g usually)
  • Add 1/10th of that amount of sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • herbs/garlic/whatever you like to taste
  • Butter to taste
  1. Pre-heat oven to 190C
  2. Mix the flour, the sugar and the herbs/garlic/whatever.
  3. Pour in the beer and a bit of melted butter and mix thoroughly.
  4. Place the batter into a greased loaf tin and top with a bit more melted butter (it will look gross at this point but trust the process)
  5. Bake it for 50 minutes or so (if you have a skewer it should come out almost clean, with a crumb or two), remove with oven gloves and tip it out of the tin and leave to cool.
If you want to do home bread baking but have spotted all the yeast etc is sold out (or don’t have much time), beer bread is very much worth a go and is CRAZILY easy Submitted by: "Quarantined Folk (Quarantined Folk)"
