Bell Pepper And Herbed Meat Spaghetti

  • 1/2 package of spaghetti (or enough for how many people you are feeding)
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 6-8 Shitake Mushrooms
  • 2 small zucchinis
  • 1 Jar tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • olive oil to cook veggies
  • HERBS (a couple of dashes of each - use each to your own taste preference)
  • Thyme
  • Garlic Salt
  • Cayanee
  • Parsley
  • Oregano
  • Basil
  • Thyme
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Salt
  • Cumin
  • Chili Powder
  • Dill Weed

  2. Herb ground beef (turkey) and mix with hands (it should smell amazing)
  3. Add 1/3 cup pasta sauce to meat to make moist
  4. Place in refrigerator while chopping and cooking veggies
  5. Chop mushrooms, bell pepper and zucchini
  6. - use enough olive oil to cover bottom of large skillet. Start cooking the zucchini. Let cook for about 5-8 minuets. Add mushrooms and bell pepper and cook for 8-10 minuets. Move veggies to the side of the skillet. Add ground meat to the center of the skillet. Let cook until meat is almost done. Add pasta sauce and tomato sauce. Let simmer for 20-30 minuets. RECIPE BACKSTORY
I made this in Tahoe after a long day of snowboarding. It was the perfect meal to warm everyone up and fill their hungry tummy's after a long day on the slops.
