INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 8 to 10 minutes (Depending on your oven)
  • Servings: Approximately 3 Dozen

  • 1 Egg (large)
  • 1 cup of butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup of Brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup regular granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking Soda
  • 2 1/4 cups of All purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1- 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips ( semi sweet) Or Dark Chocolate
DIRECTIONS
  1. Start by pre heating your oven to 375 degrees. While that's warming up, take the butter out of the fridge and cut it into small chunks to warm up and soften on your counter
  2. Once the butter is softened and the oven has reached temperature, mix together in an appropriate bowl, the butter, egg, and the white and brown sugars. Slowly mix in the flour, salt and baking soda. Finally, add your chocolate chips. This mixture will be quite stiff.
  3. We cover our cookie sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  4. Using a small ice cream scoop, melon baller, or even a tablespoon measuring spoon, fill it with the dough, and flatten it in the scoop.
  5. eject the dough onto the parchment paper, approximately 2 inches apart to allow for expansion.
  6. Place in the pre heated oven and bake for approximately 8 - 10 minutes.
  7. When done, the centers might still be a tad soft, but that's fine, transfer to a cooling rack where they will firm up.
