Big Ol' Biscuits
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Milk
  1. Oven Temperature: 425°F
  2. *Preheat oven to 425 degrees; in large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar
  3. *Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse meal; gradually stir in milk until dough pulls away from side of bowl
  4. *Turn out onto a floured surface, kneed a few times, and roll out to 1 inch thick
  5. *Cut biscuits with a large cutter or juice glass dipped in flour
  6. *Repeat until all dough is used
  7. *Brush off excess flour and place biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet
  8. *Bake about 12-14 minutes or until edges begin to brown
  9. Recipe Tips:
  10. *Be sure to use cold butter
  11. *You can brush tops with butter before and after cooking for extra butter flavor
  12. *It is ok to cook biscuits close together as it will just make them softer, and there is nothing wrong with soft biscuits!
