Biscotti

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. shortening
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 T. baking powder
  • 6 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1.) Put all of the dry ingredients into a bowl.
  2. 2.) Mix in shortening.
  3. 3.) Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. 4.) Pinch off small, bite size pieces of dough and space them out evenly on a cookie sheet.
  5. 5.) Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350-375 degrees (depending on oven).
  6. 6.) When cool, make frosting by adding a few drops of water to sifted powdered sugar. Add food coloring if desired.
  7. 7.) Frost the biscotti and enjoy!
