RECIPE BACKSTORY
Bobotie (bobotjie) is a South African dish consisting of spiced minced meat baked with an egg-based topping. It is thought to have originated from the Indonesian dish Bobotok and was brought to South Africa by the Dutch Colonists. Since then it has been adopted by the Cape Malay community. This is a great casual meal that everyone enjoys! Best served with Yellow Rice and Chutney (South African, Mrs Balls chutney is the best) Submitted by: "Carine Schultz"
