Bread Pudding

  • 1 1/2 cups bread cubes
  • 3 cups milk, scalded
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup seedless raisins
DIRECTIONS
  1. Soak bread in milk for 1/2 hour. Beat eggs. Gradually add sugar. Beat in salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir in raisins. Combine egg mixture with bread. Pour into a greased oven-proof dish and set in a pan of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
