Broccoli-Rice Casserole
  • Cooking Time: 30 minutes
  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes
  • 1 box frozen, chopped broccoli, thawed or 1 bunch fresh broccoli, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 small jar Cheez Whiz
  • 2 cups cooked rice (I use white rice, not instant)
  1. Cook 1 bunch of fresh broccoli or 1 box of frozen, chopped.
  2. Sauté onions and celery in enough butter to cover bottom of skillet
  3. Add 2 cups cooked rice, the broccoli, cream chicken soup and cheez whiz.
  4. Mix well, pour into 9x12 casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
This casserole is a favorite with our family for the holidays and I have to quadruple to have enough for everyone. Leftovers are great and it freezes well. --Stephanie B.
