Brussels sprouts just for me because Steve won't eat them!

  • Preparation Time: 10
  • 2 cups brussels sprouts, cleaned and larger ones cut in half
  • 6 slices bacon, cut into thin strips
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  1. put bacon in saucepan, cooking slowly to render out fat
  2. Once fat has been rendered out and bacon is crispy, remove with slotted spoon
  3. Add brussels sprouts and cover, cooking for about 10 minutes
  4. Don't move around to much, so sprouts will carmelize
  5. Once tender, remove any excess bacon fat, add back in bacon, and season to taste
  6. YUM!
apparently tortured by these wonderful little veggies as a child, my husband refuses to eat them - no worries, all the more for me :)
