Buttercream Icing

INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 3 cups icing
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/s cup Crisco
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 lb powdered sugar (4 cups)
  • 3 T milk or cream
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cream together the butter, Crisco and vanilla. Add the salt. Beat in 1 cup at a time, the powdered sugar; finally, add the milk or cream and beat in till light and fluffy.
  2. Make 3 cups icing.
