INGREDIENTS
  • 1 small butternut squash
  • I can't believe its not butter garlic and herb spray
  • salt
  • PAM cooking spray
  • Aluminum foil(optional)
DIRECTIONS
  1. peel the skin off the squash
  2. cut the squah in half and remove the seeds
  3. cut the squash into strips that look like fries (some will be curve fries)
  4. line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with foil (if you want a quick clean up)
  5. Spray pan with the PAM
  6. place the fries on the pan
  7. spray with the butter garlic and herb spray
  8. sprinkle with salt
  9. bake at 350 degrees for 20 min
  10. I cook for two, this recipe makes enough for 2 or 3 servings, fills one pan.
  11. For a larger family use 2 small squash or a larger one and more than one pan.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I saw a similar recipe someplace but I don't remember where. I came up with this version after a trip to the farmers market where I purchase some small butter nut squash, I like this way of cooking them because they cook quicker.I like these with turkey burgers.
