CHICKEN A LA KING

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted (low-fat)
  • 3 T. flour
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • dash cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 1 celery rib, chopped
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 T. diced pimento, drained (if desired)
  • hot cooked rice
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a slow cooker, combine soup, flour, pepper & cayenne until smooth.
  2. Stir in chicken, celery, green pepper & onion.
  3. Cover & cook on low for 7-8 hrs. or until meat juices run clear.
  4. Stir in peas & pimento.
  5. Cook 30 min. longer or until heated through.
  6. Serve over rice.
