CHINESE CASSEROLE

INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 cups chow mein noodles
- 1 can Chinese vegetables
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 soup can of water
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms, fresh or canned
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts, broken
DIRECTIONS
- Brown ground beef and separate into bite-sized pieces.
- Add onions and celery, simmer until tender.
- Combine ground beef, onions and celery with remaining ingredients and bake in well greased 13 x 9 inch pan.
- Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 8 to 10.
- This dish may be garnished with additional Chinese noodles and fresh parsley.
