• 2.5 c butter, softened
  • 4 c white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla (i think ill add cherry juice next time for about half of this)
  • 4 c flour
  • 1.5 c cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 10oz bag cherry chips
  • ( i used one bag, cause it was all i had, and added .5 a bag of chocolate chunks) (oh, i found cherry flavoured chips at walmart
  1. preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. cream together butter, sugar and eggs. mix in remaining ingredients. (i whisked the dry ingredients together, and tossed the chips in the last .5 c of dry ingredients)
  3. blend well.
  4. drop by teaspoonful or cookie scoop and bake for 8-9 minutes. THESE ARE VERY SOFT WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OUT. LET THEM SIT ON THE COOKIE SHEET FOR A MINUTE OR TWO. remove to cooling racks to cool completely.
i modified this from a recipe i found on the original recipe was a chocolate mint cookie. it claimed to make 8 dozen. as of this posting, i have 10, and plenty of cookie dough left....
