Caramel Corn

  • 1/2 c white syrup
  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 lb margarine
  • 1/8 t cream of tartar
  • 5 qts popped popcorn, placed in big roaster
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix first four ingredients together and boil five minutes. take off heat and add one scant teaspoon baking soda. Pour over popcorn and stir. Bake one hour at 225 degrees, stirring every 10 minutes. Pour on waxed paper and break apart when cooled.
