Caramel Custard

INGREDIENTS
  • • Milk – 350mL
  • • Powdered Sugar – ½ Cup
  • • Egg – 2 qty.
  • • Vanilla Essence – 1tsp
  • • Grain Sugar – 1 Cup
  • • Oil – ½ tsp
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. Melt the sugar to make the caramel.
  2. 2. Pour Caramel into cups and let it cool.
  3. 3. Preheat the oven at 200 C for 15 minutes.
  4. 4. Heat the milk (don’t boil), add sugar to it and mix well.
  5. 5. Break 2 eggs and whisk them.
  6. 6. Add vanilla essence to the whisked eggs.
  7. 7. Slowly pour the whisked mixture into the milk.
  8. 8. On cooling this mixture, strain it and mix it.
  9. 9. Pour the custard mixture in the cups and cover them with aluminum foil.
  10. 10. Bake the custard in the oven for 30 mins at 200 C.
  11. 11. Chill the custard for 3 hours before serving.
