Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 c all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 c margarine
  • 1 c buttermilk
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Cut in cheese and margarine until crumbly.
  3. Add buttermilk; stir just until moistened.
  4. Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times.
  5. Pat out to 1/2 inch thickness, cut with2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter.
  6. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
