Cheese Fries
  • Cooking spray
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into ½-inch thick strips
  • 1/8 tsp. table salt, or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper, or to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  1. Preheat oven to 400. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray. Arrange potatoes on prepared baking sheet and season to taste with salt and pepper. Bake until golden brown and fork-tender, about 40 minutes. Move potatoes so that they are close together on baking sheet; top with cheese. Bake until cheese melts, about 5 minutes more.
This is a great side for something easy like hot dogs or burgers. Just a notch up from regular fries and the kids always love them.
