  • 1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • Filling:
  • 3 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • Topping:
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine crumbs, sugar and margarine, press onto bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 325ºF for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Increase oven temperature to 350ºF.
  2. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, cocoa and vanilla, mixing at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mix well after each addition. Pour mixture over crust. Bake at 350ºF for 35 minutes. Cool cake and then loosen cake from rim of pan. Chill.
  3. Melt margarine in saucepan over low heat. Blend in milk, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Stir in nuts and coconut, then cool. Spread on cheesecake.
