Chef Salad

  • green leaf lettuce
  • baby spinach leaves
  • (both hand tore to bite sized)
  • 1 red onion, sliced & in rings
  • 2 cucumber, sliced
  • 6 tomatoes, cut in bites
  • 8 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 lb. ham, diced
  • 1 lb. turkey, diced
  • bacon bits
  • sharp cheddar
  • seasoned croutons
  • 3 hard boiled eggs, sliced in half or quaters
  1. Wash & cut all veggies.Mix first 9 together in a large bowl. Transfer to a large plater. Top with cheese & croutons. Place eggs around salad. Just set salad plates on table with many kinds of dressing, & watch them dive in!
Can't do better than a cold salad supper, on a hot summer's day! Unless it is to use fresh garden veggies to make it! You really can't see everything that's in it. Use as much lettuce, spinach, bacon, cheese & croutons as you like.
