Cherry Slice
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 lb. of margarine
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp of almond extract
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 can of Cherry Pie filling
DIRECTIONS
- Cream margarine and sugar. Add vanilla and almond extract. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add flour and beat. Spread 2/3 of the batter ona greased 10 x 15 inch cookiesheet. Spread pie filling on batter. Drop remaining batter over the filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with icing sugar while lukewarm.
