Cherry Torte Pudding

INGREDIENTS
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups drained tart red cherries (NOT pie filling)
- 1 teaspoon melted butter (yes, only 1 teaspoon)
- 1 egg, well beaten
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
- 2. Grease and flour an 8” x 8” baking pan.
- 3. Combine and blend the first five ingredients in a large bowl.
- 4. Add the last three ingredients to the dry mixture and blend (stir) everything well but do not beat.
- 5. Spoon mixture into baking pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes
