Cherry Torte Pudding

INGREDIENTS
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups drained tart red cherries (NOT pie filling)
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter (yes, only 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 egg, well beaten
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. 2. Grease and flour an 8” x 8” baking pan.
  3. 3. Combine and blend the first five ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. 4. Add the last three ingredients to the dry mixture and blend (stir) everything well but do not beat.
  5. 5. Spoon mixture into baking pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes
