Chewy Chocolate Cookies

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 1/2 cups margarine (5 sticks)
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 ½ cups Hershey’s Cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cream margarine & sugar in large bowl. Add eggs & vanilla, blend well. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt; blend until creamy. Stir in nuts, if desired.
  2. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8 to 9 minutes. (Do not over-bake. Cookies will be soft and puffed up.)
  3. (For Christmas - I put a swirl of frosting on the top to jazz them up a bit.)
