Chicken Paprikash

  • 1 cut up fryer chicken
  • 1 lg onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 tbs flour
  • Dumplings or rice
DIRECTIONS
  1. Brown chicken in large pan with onion
  2. Add paprika, salt, garlic powder and water
  3. Simmer 1 hour or until tender, adding more hot water if needed
  4. Mix half and half with flour
  5. Add to chicken and simmer 10 minutes
  6. Pour over dumplings or rice
