Chinese Cabbage Salad

  • 1 bag cabbage, shredded
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 jar sesame seeds
  • 2 pkg chicken top ramen
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • flavor packets from top ramen
  1. Heat oven to 350° f. Spread Almonds and sesame seeds out on a cookie sheet and brown in oven for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
  2. Combine cabbage, green onions, browned almonds and sesame seeds and broken apart ramen noodles in a serving bowl.
  3. Combine sugar, rice vinegar, vegetable oil, pepper and flavor packets from chicken top ramen. Mix thoroughly. Pour over salad just prior to serving.
