Chinese cabbage salad

  • 1 head green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 package top ramen chicken sesame flavor
  • 1 package sliced almonds
  • 1 T butter
  • dressing
  • 1/2 c canola oil
  • 1/3 c rice vinegar
  • 1/3 c sugar
  • 1t sesame oil
  • 1T soy sauce
DIRECTIONS
  1. Crush top ramen noodles in package
  2. Saute noodles in frying pan with flavor packet and almonds until butter just starts to brown
  3. combine all dressing ingredients and shake well, toss with cabbage
  4. sprinkle noodles and almonds over top and serve

This is a more "americanized" version - I cabbage gives it a good crunch
