Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

  • 1 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Sift together the confectioners’ sugar and cocoa powder so there are no lumps
  2. Set aside
  3. With a handheld or stand mixer with q paddle attachment, beat the butter until creamy
  4. Gradually add the sifted sugar/cocoa powder alternately with the heavy cream
  5. Add the vanilla extract
  6. Once all added, beat until creamy on high speed
