Chocolate Cake
  • Cooking Time: 30
  • 2 1/2 C. flour
  • 1 1/2 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 TBS baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 C. water
  • 1/3 C. veggie oil
  • 1/2 TBS apple cider vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  1. Mix and bake in greased 9x13 pan at 350 deg approx 1/2 hour (give or take)
  2. Use your favorite frosting/topping
I always turn to this cake when I haven't gotten to the store to stock up. This cake uses veggie oil and no eggs, or milk! yet it is tasty!(REALLY!!) I like to use this recipe for the turtle cake. Punch holes in it and pour caramel ice cream topping all over it, then pour condensed milk over it, cover with whip cream and sprinkle top with crushed heath bars. Of course, then it must be refrigerated
