CATEGORIES
INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 15 minutes per batch
  • Servings: 4-5 dz
  • Preparation Time: 30
  • 1 (1 pound 1.5 ounce) pouch Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 60 Hershey Kisses milk chocolates, unwrapped
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, egg, flour, cocoa, almonds and extract until soft dough forms.
  3. Shape dough into sixty 3/4" balls; wrap each around 1 chocolate. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. (I find it easier to sink the chocolate in, and pinch around the outside to hold it up)
  5. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Cool slightly, about 5 minutes.
  6. Roll cookies in powered sugar. Cool completely, about 15 minutes. Roll cookies in powdered sugar. Store tightly covered.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I found this on the back of something I bought once. Maybe it was the sugar cookie mix. Either way it was good and I make them at Christmas every year. I just changed it a bit to serve my chocolate love!
