Chocolate Rice Krispies

INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 pkg 10 oz marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- 12 oz pkg chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp shortening
DIRECTIONS
- Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat and stir until completely melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Add cereal, stir until well coated using buttered spatula or wax paper press mixture evenly into buttered pan.
- For filling, add chocolate chips with shortening in small pan, stir over very low heat until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- Cut cooled bars in ½, keeping 1/3 cup of melted chocolate spread remaining over ½, and place them on top of each other to make a sandwich. Chill until chocolate is firm and store in airtight container at room temp.
