Chocolate Rice Krispies
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 pkg 10 oz marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 12 oz pkg chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  1. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat and stir until completely melted.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add cereal, stir until well coated using buttered spatula or wax paper press mixture evenly into buttered pan.
  4. For filling, add chocolate chips with shortening in small pan, stir over very low heat until melted and smooth.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Cut cooled bars in ½, keeping 1/3 cup of melted chocolate spread remaining over ½, and place them on top of each other to make a sandwich. Chill until chocolate is firm and store in airtight container at room temp.
