Chunky Pecan Bars

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup firm packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour and sugar
  3. Using pastry blender or 2 fork, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  4. Press into 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake 15 minutes
  5. Part 2
  6. In a medium bowl whisk together eggs,sugar,syrup, and melted butter. Add vanilla
  7. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts
  8. pour over baked crust.
  9. Bake 25 minutes
  10. Cool and cut into bars
