Cinnamon Cut-Out Cookies
INGREDIENTS
- 2 c. butter
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tbsp. cinnamon
- Pinch of baking soda
DIRECTIONS
- Cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla. Mix to combine.
- Combine the flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda. Stir to combine.
- Add in little by little to the butter mixture.
- Divide dough and wrap in plastic wrap or parchment paper and tinfoil and chill for 3-4 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Roll out dough to approx. 1/4 in. thick and cut out desired shapes.
- Place on a baking sheet. Repeat until all the dough is gone.
- Bake for 10-12 min. (depending on thickness) or until edges are slightly browned.
- Remove and place on a paper towel.
- Once cool, decorate with your favorite icing! Or eat plain!
