Cinnamon Pound Cake
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter; softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 3 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 5 TBSP cinnamon sugar (or 1 TBSP cinnamon mixed with 4 TBSP sugar)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 300. Cream the butter. Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla and beat well. In a separate bowl, sift the flour and baking powder together. Add to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, until well blended. Sprinkle 1/3 of the cinnamon sugar on the bottom of a greased tube pan. Add 1/2 of the batter. Sprinkle 1/3 more of cinnamon sugar. Add the other 1/2 of the batter and top with remaining cinnamon sugar. Bake at 300 degrees for about an hour and 15 minutes.
