Cinnamon Rolls from Moms kitchen
INGREDIENTS
- 1 bx 2 layer yellow cake mix
- 2 pkg quick-rise yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 C. warm water
- 5 C. flour
- 1/2 C. butter, melted
- 1 1/2 C. Sugar
- 2 Tbl cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
- Mix water, cake mix, yeast, vanilla, and salt. Let rise 1 hour. Roll out on floured surface to 27- 30 inches long and 12 inches wide. Brush with butter and cover with cinnamon & sugar mixture. Roll jelly roll style and cut into 1.5 inch pieces. [Use dental floss or sting to cut, get 6 inch piece and place roll on top. Cross the ends of dental floss and pull (similar to tying a knot) This keep the rolls in shape] Place in greased pan and let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.
