Cinnamon Rolls

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • ¼ c. warm water
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 ¼-oz. package dry yeast
  • 2 c. flour
  • ½ c. margarine
  • 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar (dark is best)
  • ½ c. pecans
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a medium bowl, dissolve sugar, salt and 2 tbsp. butter in warm water.
  2. Add egg and yeast, then mix in flour.
  3. Roll dough on to a floured board to 8”X8” to ¾ inch thick. Melt ½ c. margarine and add cinnamon, pecans and brown sugar.
  4. Mix well and spread on top of dough.
  5. Roll up and cut ¾ inch thick.
  6. Put in a nonstick pan and let rise about an hour. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes in a greased pan (or until browned).
