Clam Dip
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 6 1/2 ounce minced clams with juice
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 small onion (minced)
  • 6 ounces of mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1-2 cloves of minced garlic
  • Dash of pepper
  • Oregano to taste
  1. Sauté onion and garlic in butter. Mix together all ingredients except cheese. Add onion mixture. In an ungreased pie plate layer 1/2 of the clam mixture followed by 1/2 of the cheese. Add the remainder of the clam mixture with the remaining cheese on top (layer just like a lasagna). Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Serve warm with crackers of your choice.
